Big Jim’s opened in April 1993 in Allenstown, New Hampshire, as the surplus division of Steenbeke & Sons. The original goal was simple: find overstock building materials at great prices and pass those savings along to local customers.

Over the years, Big Jim’s expanded beyond surplus materials to offer a broad selection of first-quality and special-order products. Customers can now find everything from kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities to custom doors, replacement windows, flooring, and decking.

In 2011, Big Jim’s opened its current location in Concord. In 2015, the company brought its operations together under one BIG roof, making it easier for customers to explore products, compare options, and get personal help with their projects.
